In a career spanning over three decades, Jim Raposa has built a solid reputation as a top-notch personality at great radio stations like: WPRO/Providence; WODS/Boston; KXOA, KNCI and KHYL, all in Sacramento, just to name a few. As a comedy writer/performer and producer, Jim has been featured on various syndicated services and great morning shows including Rick Dees, CBS Radio and even with legendary New York City radio personality, Cousin Brucie Morrow.
As an air talent, Jim has received numerous awards from fellow broadcasters in recognition of his unique ability to develop compelling and entertaining short and long form syndicated radio specials and programming: including syndicated projects on The Beatles, Mel Torme, Nat King Cole and his long-running show “Frank & Friends”, spotlighting the music and career of Frank Sinatra. In 1996, The California Legislature Assembly honored Jim on his record of achievements in the broadcast industry and display of community service.
A devout music lover and record collector (at one time his personal record collection numbered more than 10,000 pieces!), Jim enjoys classical, jazz, doo-wop, R&B and has a very special place for Adult Standards and artists like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole and other legends from the genre of the Great American Songbook. "I love meeting the artists I play and hearing them tell me about their careers and the people they work with. That’s the juice for me – it’s what gets me out of bed each day!"
